El Grupo inicia a principios de los noventas con la idea de mezclar
diferentes corrientes musicales dando como resultado un rock claro y
potente que lo distingue como un grupo de gran alcance, pues puede
alternar con cualquier otro genero musical en cualquier tipo de escenario
Nacional o Internacional, por ejemplo ha compartido el stage en varias
ciudades con EL TRI de Mexico, o con Control Machete o tal vez con
La Sonora Dinamita, por ejemplo. Se dice que son
"GUERREROS DE LA BUENA MUSICA"

Los temas de Ley de Hielo tratan sobre la vida diaria, el amor o tal vez de
problemas de tipo social o educativo, gracias a eso siempre es invitado a
compartir con muchos y variados grupos como: LA LEY, HEROES DEL
SILENCIO, ATERCIOPELADOS , SHAKIRA, MALDITA VECINDAD,
CADILACS, MOHENIA, EL TRI, EL HARAGAN, JAGUARES, ALUX
NAHUATL, CAFE TACUBA, ANGELES DEL INFIERNO, ROD LEVARIO,
LIRANROL, INSPECTOR, PLASTILINA MOSH, ENANITOS VERDES,
TIJUANA NO VICTIMAS DEL Dr. CEREBRO, LA CASTAÑEDA, ROSTROS OCULTOS,
ALEJANDRA GUZMAN, GUILLOTINA, TRANSMETAL, AMANTES DE LOLA,
LA CUCA, EQUIMOSIS (de JUANES), LA LUPITA, Y MUCHOS OTROS
GRANDES DEL ROCK.
Pero eso no es todo, tambien en otros generos de la musica ley de hielo es un destacado
podemos mencionar este 2008 en escenarios como Florentine Gardens, Mc Arthur Park,
Huntintong Park, alternando con grupos de la talla de: LA SONORA DINAMITA,
LA MIGRA, LOS MISMOS, PASTELES VERDES, GRACIELA BELTRAN,
LA BANDA BLANCA, EL GRUPO ALGODON, CADETES DE LINARES, ETC.
Como podemos ver el grupo no se limita a una etiqueta que lo deje en un
solo nivel, por que ley de hielo fue creado por "Pino Yllescas" para ser un
grupo Universal.
Sus logros han sido muchos y variados, entre otros podemos mencionar el
de haber sido la "Primera Banda" de rock en Español a nivel internacional
que toco en vivo "VIA INTERNET" llegando a todo el mundo. Ademas de
haber sido el primer grupo que fue firmado por una disquera ( AZTLAN
RECORDS) en Estados Unidos en 1995. Tambien fueron premiados por la
Revista RETILA como la mejor banda local en USA del 97
LDH, ha tenido la fortuna de haber actuado en muchos lugares de prestigio
internacional, como El Gibson amphiteater de Universal Studios, Hellen
Buster Pavillion, Paladium, House of Blues, Los Angeles Sports arena, etc.

LEY DE HIELO BIOGRAPHY
Nearing their fourth anniversary, Ley De Hielo has good news: the success of their first album
"Señior Cementerio," on the independent label Aztlan Records, (distributed and promoted in
almost every U.S. area where there's a latin population - California, Chicago, Texas, New York,
Florida, Puerto Rico, etc) has made them one of the outstanding exponents of 'rock-en-Español' in
the U.S.
Based in L.A., Ley De Hielo's members are originally from Mexico. They started the group in
April 1991 with the idea of expressing diverse musical tendencies via rock sung in their own
language, especially in the Los Angeles area. The result is a solid and powerful music that highlights
the group without trapping it into a single rock style.
The demand for Ley De Hielo's first album has placed them before the national and international
followers of good rock regardless of the language they sing in. Promo videos were made of Los
Angeles En Llamas and Sienteme. "Señor Cemeterio" was produced by Ley De Hielo and Rob
Beaton, who has collaborated with Whitney Houston, Thomas Dolby, Santana, Starship, and Huey
Lewis among others. It was recorded at the Aztlan records studios, DCP/Secret Studios in San
Francisco, CA during the spring of 1995.
Ley De Hielo has performed to great reviews with varioius internationally known acts such as Alux
Nahual, Cuca, La Lupita, Victimas Del Dr. Cerebro, and La Castañeda among others. Thus Ley
De Hielo's music is significantly popularizing the "made in U.S.A. rock-en Español" which is
motivating them to look for new avenues to expose their music in Mexico.
The trade magazine "Rockera" (Nov.-Dec. '94) defined Ley De Hielo's public in a few words
noting that "rock en Español fanatics divide their taste for rock into two groups; those who listen to
alternative rock and those who prefer heavy rock. Ley De Hielo has been able to unify these two
garnering the admiration and respect of both."
